Boom Blox Bash Party

Boom Blox Bash Party

EA is hoping that this holiday season, you’ll break out the Wii and Boom Blox Bash Party to play with family and friends. While I haven’t played the sequel, the original is a great party game particularly with people that don’t play games often.

To celebrate the holidays, EA is releasing 139 free online levels to Boom Blox Bash Party. The new EA-created levels include 57 single player, 48 multiplayer, and 15 co-op levels.

To get to these new levels, go through Create Mode or click the Satellite icon in any game mode.

Here are some cheats also:

Playing Dress Up

My Dress-Up joins the Fashion Designer games of the growing DS library. In this game, girls create an avatar of themselves, create various outfits which they can save in themed closets and change in and out of when they feel like it. There are over 100 shades you can use to help your friends look superbly fashionable and a wide selection of pieces to mix and match. They can also accept challenges from their friends and put together outfits suitable to the activity they are going on. When you finish a challenge, new clothing styles will be unlocked and added to your selections. Challenges are accessed by selecting “Messages” from the main screen. Not all messages will ask you to create an outfit. As you help your friends out, they will come to you again and again for more wardrobe advice.

Girls are also encouraged to design their own tops with the Top Designer. In this section of the game you can select from one of four simple shirts, colour them in one basic shade, and then lay a two-toned graphic on top. After you create your top, you can add it to a collection and dress your avatar in it.

Finally, if you have friends with the game, you can link up and have some multi-card fun. Host a Dress-Up party, chat wirelessly, and transfer outfits to your friend’s wardrobe. You can also link up with friends that have either My Make Up or My Secret Diary and chat.

Controls are very simplistic and easy to grasp. While there isn’t a lot of substance to the game, it could be enjoyable for younger girls and their friends to play at a birthday or slumber party as a group.

Worms 2: Armageddon

Worms 2: Armageddon

Worms 2: Armageddon fans you are in luck because your favorite game is getting a title update on Xbox Live Arcade. Even better than that…it’s free.

The free update has improvements, fixes and features requests as well as play balancing. Which is important if you want…a fair game.

The update details are on the Team17 Facebook page, which they didn’t give the address to. There is larger DLC coming for Worm’s Armageddon so keep watching for that!

Very excited today because SpikeTV has announced their 2009 Video Game Awards which will be a two-hour event on December 12, 2009. This year the show will be LIVE.

We’ve always had a blast at the Spike VGAs. They are fun to cover, the red carpet is amazing because you actually get to interview the people we admire in the gaming industry.

This year’s awards are going to be more than just awards for the last year. They are going to show global premiers of never-before-seen titles and showcase many new announcements. Companies that will be showing new content are: 2K, Activision, Disney Interactive Studios, Electronic Arts, LucasArts Entertainment, Microsoft Game Studios, THQ, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. With more to be announced later.

Halo: Reach will be one of the exclusives showing the opening of the game.

“The global appetite and response from the fans internationally has been astounding,” said Casey Patterson, executive producer and senior vice president, Event Productions Spike TV. “Video games, like movies and music, are a universal language and Spike is thrilled that we will now be showing gamers all over the world a glimpse into their future with more than 12 mind-blowing world premieres.”
