Here it is, folks: your chance to beat up relatives all throughout the holiday season, albeit from the relative safeness of Tekken 6’s confines! For this week’s Swag Saturday, we’re giving out a copy of Tekken 6 for the Xbox 360 to one lucky commenter who tells us which fictitious holiday character (think: Santa, the Easter Bunny) they’d like to beat up the most, and with which Tekken 6 character they’d like to do so with. Fancy a battle of Kuma vs The Tooth Fairy? Perhaps Jack-6 vs George Washington (wait, he was real?!)? We want to hear about it!
- Leave a comment telling us which fictitious holiday character (Santa, the Easter Bunny, etc.) you’d like to beat up most, and with which Tekken 6 character they’d like to do so with.
- You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec, mostly due to the gravitational quotient of poutine)
- Limit 1 entry per person per day
- This entry period ends at 6:01PM ET on Sunday, November 22
- At that time, we’ll randomly select one winner to receive one copy of Tekken 6 for Xbox 360 ($60 ARV).

What is Joyswag? Since we don’t keep the games and merchandise we receive for review or promotional purposes, it becomes “Joyswag,” which is passed along to our readers. For more info on our policy, click here.

There may be extra incentive to check out the PSP version of Tekken 6, as Siliconera reports the handheld port will feature story modes for newcomers Lars and Alisa. The news originally fought its way onto the net via online retailer Rakuten, but the page has since been pulled, with no new listing surfacing. The PSP port will also apparently replace the console version’s Scenario Mode with Gold Rush Mode, where each fight earns the player money to customize their character.
Many of you may have noticed the game failed to meet its October 27 release date, just as we thought it would — several retailers now peg down the US release for November 29, while it looks like Japan will have to wait until January 14, 2010.

Namco Bandai sent out a press release today boasting that it has shipped over 2.5 million copies of
Tekken 6 worldwide. Now, we don’t want to tell Namco how to do its job, but these shipment numbers tend to be more impressive when you give the game a week or so in stores, so we can more readily infer a connection between
shipped copies and
sold copies.
The portion of those 2.5 million earmarked for Europe, for example, just got there today, and it’s only been in stores for around two days in North America. All we know based on this is that Namco expects to sell a ton of copies, not that it is selling a ton. Although we’re sure it will.
Maybe that’s the idea — to build excitement about Tekken 6 by showing how confident the publisher is. To print up 2.5 million of the things (some of which come in totally huge boxes), Namco must really believe it’s on to something!

No, really. We’re not just using awkward British slang — Namco Bandai is really
offering a series of licensed
Tekken 6 underwear, perfect for the man whose underwear isn’t threatening enough. The three designs, created in collaboration with an underwear shop called Luscious Tokyo, retail for
¥4,200 ($46) each.
Other, somewhat more sensible Tekken 6 merch includes a line of t-shirts (
¥3,150, or $34), Jin and Lass rings (¥10,500, or $115), and Devil Jin lighters (¥13,650, or $149). It’s no Sega console lighter, but it’ll still light your Yankee Candles for just the right ambience for a King of Iron Fist tournament.
