Going to gaming conventions is something every gamer would love to do.  Let’s face it though, it costs a lot of money between airfare, hotel, and all that jibba jabba.  What if you could avoid all that and go to the convention right from your Xbox 360?  Sounds like a dream right?  Well, it might be a dream that one day might come true.

A recent online survey asks you to imagine, imagine what it would be like to have “interactive, online versions” of conventions.

Imagine that interactive, online versions of E3, BlizzCon, GamesCon, ComicCon and every other major video game convention were made available through Xbox Live.

Here is a look at the rest of the page from which the excerpt above was taken. (click image for full size)

Survey

On top of everything listed as to what you can do, the best part about this is,

Attending a Virtual Video Game Convention would be FREE

As we stated earlier, it is pricey to actually go to the conventions, so FREE for these “Virtual Video Game Conventions” would be great for gamers.

While it will never compare to the real deal, it would be great for those not able to go to the actual event to still get a taste right from home.  While this is still just a rumor and only a rumor, this would be something great for not only gamers but Xbox live users as well.  Imagine being at a virtual E3 and playing all the same demos the press is, and without spending the money or waiting in a long line like they did!

This all seems too good to be true.  IF and WHEN anymore information on this is made available we will definitely update you.  For now kids, lets say our prayers and hope this comes true.

It seems that there might be multiplayer added to Dead Space 2.  A job listing looking for a “Senior Online Level Designer” was found on linkedin. The job description is as follows,

Seeking a highly motivated Senior Online Level Designer for the Dead Space franchise on Xbox360 and PS3. This is a major opportunity to contribute creatively to an exciting new franchise.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, script, direct, and build online levels for the game.
• Own the level design for the online game, be able to work collaboratively with Creative Director and Online Producer to create extremely fun, satisfying and polished multiplayer levels.
• Drive online design by taking the initiative to bring all parties together to execute on the overall vision for the levels.
• Be a collaborative member of the design team, and contribute to reviews, feedback, and playtest sessions.
• Hands on contributor

From the description above, it seems that we could potentially see multiplayer in Dead Space 2.  The posting on linkedin also stated that the game is “in the later stages of pre-production, ready for production in the next few months.”  While there is no confirmation of Dead Space 2 actually having multiplayer, we will file this under rumor for now.

Leaked 2k10

It seems that the cover’s for MLB 2K10 have been leaked through a marketing survey. According to Kotaku, one of their tipsters taking a marketing survey came across these covers. The covers feature the third baseman, Evan Longoria from the Tampa Bay Rays. This is in no way confirms that they are official.

Kotaku states the survey asked the people taking it about how the covers make them feel about purchasing the game. While there are several, I’m sure you will see one of these chosen and used in the next MLB 2K10.  We will updated you with anymore information when its made available.

With original Fallout IP holder Interplay currently embroiled in a legal battle with new Fallout IP holder Bethesda Softworks, it’s no surprise that the most recently “leaked” images from Interplay’s Project V13 are said to be from an “anonymous, but reliable” source. The Vault Wiki even goes as far as to claim that the images are directly from Interplay, saying “These screenshots were actually submitted by Interplay as court evidence to show that the game is in full production already.”

Putting on our super sleuth detective caps, a Nuka-Cola billboard and the inclusion of a supermutant in these screens certainly confirms they are from some form of Fallout game. Big Download points out that these screens look awfully similar to concept art released by Interplay not too long ago. Without any solid confirmation from Interplay as to the origin of these screens though, we’re gonna have to keep it filed strictly under the “rumor” category for now.

Several recent Xbox 360 and PS3 releases will be on sale for $34.99, including Brütal Legend, Left 4 Dead 2, Dragon Age. Many older titles will be $20 or less. Meanwhile, several Wii titles will be reduced to $14.99, while certain DS titles will drop to $9.99 or less. Hit the source link for the full (and still rumored) set of deals. We’ve contacted Best Buy to verify the ad.
