Archives for pre-order category

Divinity II – Ego Draconis is less than a week away.  To get ready for the game, cdv has provided a cool new video so you can get a look at the Dragon Knight, dragon and human forms and how gameplay will work with both. You still have time to put in your pre-order for Divinity II if you want the Blood Echelon Armor and Weapon Set.

The latest expansion for EverQuest II, EverQuest II: Sentinel’s Fate, is slated for release in February both digitally and in retail, but why wait until then to pick up your copy? No, far better to pre-order the expansion and be ready for the day it launches — which, not coincidentally, is now an option. There are both Regular and Collector editions available, as is the standard for MMOs these days, and each one comes with its own little bonuses as well as the usual little extras for ordering ahead of time.

Sentinel’s Fate promises to be a broad expansion for everyone playing EverQuest II, offering a level cap of 90, several hundred new quests, new dungeons, and new alternate advancement systems for characters. If you’re a dedicated player of the game, they probably had you at “EQII expansion,” but the expansion also looks to be the perfect point for new players to jump in and start getting involved in the world of Norrath. Take a look at the full list of the expansion’s features, go ahead and pre-order, and get ready for February to be booked solid.

It seems that despite all the negative attention L4D2 might have recieved, it’s doing quite well.  The game is set to release on November 17th and it’s already received 4 times the pre-orders that the original L4D had.

Speaking with CVG recently, Chet Faliszek said,

As we get closer to launch we see the reaction to the demo, pre-orders are four times what Left 4 Dead 1 was, people’s excitement, the boycott itself and how it’s changed… I think people are just excited now.

I have to agree with him on that, but at the same time, L4D grew a community over the last year. I’m sure that’s a part of the reason pre-orders have grown as well.   Also, let’s not forget about the $25 million advertising campaign!  Either way, he was right in saying people are excited, I know I am.  Left 4 Dead 2 is set to release on November 17th.

Judging by one analyst’s estimation, Assassin’s Creed 2 is set to escape from store shelves faster than its protagonist can outrun his pursuers. According to Mike Hickey of Janco Partners, pre-orders for the game are running 10 to 20 percent more than those of the original Assassin’s Creed, which, as the firm pointed out to Gamasutra, greatly exceeded its initial sales forecast of 3 million units. (It sold 8 million.)

In other words, it looks like Ubisoft’s going to make a killing off an assassin.
