This is something I felt could not be ignored. As a child I played the original Gameboy quite often. With games Tetris, Super Mario Land, to Pokémon, I’m sure we all remember the original Gameboy. The National Toy Hall of Fame has recently inducted the original Gameboy to the great toys of the past.
The National Toy Hall of Fame lists the Gameboy saying,
No video-game platform did more to put gamers “on the go” than Nintendo Game Boy. And go they did—bringing their gaming experience to school, to summer camp, and to the back seat of the family automobile. Over the past two decades, Game Boy has become synonymous with portable gaming fun.
I couldn’t agree more. I remember all the times I was glad to have a Gameboy to play when I was somewhere without my game consoles.
Thanks Gameboy for all the “on the go” fun you’ve provided over the years, you’ve earned it!!
Recently Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling spoke with MTV Multiplayer about the benefits of IWNet over dedicated servers for Modern Warfare 2. Bowling said to PC gamers have been very vocal about the lack of dedicated servers but that they should wait and try IWNet before criticizing it. He stated that Infinity Ward is “very confident” that IWNet is “definitely the way to go” because it increases the “quality” of the gamer over dedicated servers.
Bowling says that after users experience IWNet they will understand why Infinity Ward chose this route over dedicated servers. He also states that they will be open to criticism after users have experienced it. Infinity Ward is one of the few developers who actually listens to the fans, so that seems very fair. Despite some of the set backs like the 9v9 player cap and lack of dedicated servers, I personally agree with Bowling. Players should give IWnet a shot first and then if they dislike it tell them why so they can improve the experience. From what Bowling says, it seems IWNet might not be so bad.
We’ll just have to wait and see how IWNet does when Modern Warfare 2 releases on November 10th

Seems pretty awesome for any die hard God of War fan.
