When Mr T isn’t busy as a part of the A-Team, he’s busy playing World of Warcraft. Mr T uses his awesomeness to advertise the new “Mohawk Grenade” which is a new item in World of Warcraft. The grenade will be available in North America, Korea, and Europe.  To learn more about it, check out the Mohawk Grenade FAQ.

Mohawk Grenade FAQ [World of Warcraft]

When it comes to my roots in MMOs, I actually have to start fairly early on with my general introduction to tech geekery. Growing up in my house was a somewhat strange affair. You see, back when computers used to take up entire rooms and ran on giant reels of tape — later plastic key cards and paper tapes — my father was working with them. Being part of our household meant one was essentially living with a highly technical mind that worked on and loved things like supercomputers. I experienced ideas and machines that many in the world hadn’t, save in movies or on TV. It also meant that there were some pretty strange technical odds and ends floating around our home.

wowcataclysmAn Amazon listing has surfaced that states that a new novel by Christie Golden that will be released next August. Titled World of Warcraft: The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm I think that like Arthas: Rise of the Lich King, we will get more of the back story to the next expansion.  Now this could also give us a bit of a hint on the release date for Cataclysm. My own personal guess is that the book will probably come out not too long after the next expansion.

The story that this novel could potentially tell should be intriguing to say the least. We may get more backstory on Deathwing’s thoughts and reasons. We may get a deeper glimpse into Goblin society and what’s happening in Gilneas. We could even hear more about the final fight with the Lich King since this novel is labeled as a “Prelude to Cataclysm.”

I’m also pleased that Christie Golden will be writing this novel. I really enjoy her writing, and Arthas: Rise of the Lich King is one of my favorite Warcraft novels. This novel should be a great read, and I think will really shed some light on the lore that we will see or that we should expect to see in the next expansion. The Amazon page shows it as being available for pre-order for $26USD, and you can order it now or wait on more details to be officially released.

warhammer-online-age-of-reckoning12Today it was announced that Warhammer Online will not have a time limit to the trial version of the game. You heard it right: no more time limit! But it comes with some restrictions as listed in the trial FAQ:

  • Endless Trial accounts are restricted to Tier 1 of the Empire versus Chaos pairing. This includes Tier 1 scenarios but does not include access to the Capital Cities or the other racial pairings within the game.
  • Endless Trial accounts may receive mail and purchase from the auction house; however, they cannot send mail or create auctions.
  • Endless Trial accounts are limited to designated servers. If you’d like to play with friends on other servers, you will need to purchase a retail copy of the game and transfer your character to their server (or create a new character on their server). All characters Rank 11 and under on purchased accounts have access to unlimited transfers, with a max of one transfer per day. Please note that you can only transfer characters to the same server type as the server you created your characters on (Core, Open RvR, and Roleplay). Please see the full server list here for details about each server, including server type. Alternatively, if you have a friend who is currently playing WAR, you can ask them for a Recruit-a-Friend code that will allow you to create a Recruit-a-Friend trial account which has access to all servers. Please see the Recruit-a-Friend section for more information.

Sounds like a good deal, and a great way for you to play for a longer period of time to really see if you want to commit to that monthly fee. More details on the Endless Trial and where to download both PC and Mac versions can be found here on the official site.
