Perfect For Real Soccer Fans, Not For Amateurs January 18, 2008 This game is great for people who understand and play soccer, as this game really requires knowledge of the game. To help, the game does provide the player with useful tutorials. Being a amateur of the sport, this game was either too easy or hard. The game offers one to five star difficulty ratings. On one and two stars, I stood a chance against the computer, I even scored some goals. The problem with this is that the computer never even got off any shots. Through some games, I would have as much as 10 shots and the computer would be left with 0 shots. Not challenging or fun at all. When I play on three star difficulty it would be the opposite. I actually never scored a goal on three star difficulty, it's was quite frustrating. This all happened with teams on the same level. I'm not saying the game is not fun, it was designed wonderfully, I just can't score a goal! It really requires a lot of passing and through balls to score a goal, just like in real soccer. But being an amateur, it was just too hard for me.
Realistic? July 28, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't know what half of you "wankers" are talking about. Sure the physics engine and ball play might be "realistic" but I would rather not sacrifice enjoyment for such "realism". Honestly, it seems like the game is working against the human player rather than creating a fun and engaging experience for him.
Again, the referee system in the game is a tad bit more than unfair which, in a less extreme form might be realistic, but at the level it presents itself in Winning Eleven, its just outrageous. To be called on a perfectly legitimate steal or have my only goal taken from me on a completely B.S. offsides call at least once a game makes me want to puke. Somehow even the computer generated announcers seemed to know that such calls were "harsh".
Furthermore, that the AI's players would be given such a leg up on my own players makes for a thoroughly unenjoyable game. For godsakes, my teammates couldn't hardly create a moderately tight defense to save their computer-generated, non-existent lives.
Look elsewhere for your footy, folks-ahem-FIFA-cause this one ain't worth the energy (much less money).
The best soccer game ever. March 14, 2007 It's very near to the real game moves, actions, etc.
Simply The Best Soccer Game January 4, 2007 I am a big fan of soccer, and this game is really the best, great graphics, great playability, and the most realistic soccer game.
