I am not a fan of sports games, most get boring really quickly, but this isn't like it. This was the first game I bought when I got my PS2, I was worth it. You get to play as pirates, clowns, alligators, sharks, and other cool creatures. Plus, there are tons of awsome mini-games. Before you start a match, you can choose to rain or snow in the rink. Have you seen any other hockey game that lets you choose that? Plus you can creat a team to play on a regular game, or on season. The bset part in the whole game is to smash an enemy through the rink glass! And, you have two bars that fill up when you hit or stick check an enemy. When it's full, you can set your team on fire making them stronger. BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!

NHL 2003 has really hit the spot here. This shows in the helmets falling off (my 2nd favorite part). My favorite thing is smashing people through the glass. I like how they have set up the franchise mode. This game is a must have!

Even though the Ea a sports games are more real the animation and fun are a lot higher quality in the Midway games.

Im a big fan of hockey.....and I loved this game, everyone so far has given it big numbers and they arent wrong....my ONLY fault with the game is that there are only 5 players on the ice (including the goalie) there should be 6....but other than that I love it. I especially like the mardi gras heads you can add to your player to make them look all crazy and you can adjust the players size and face and even sex? (either this game is sorta Politically correct or women will soon be joining the NHL hehe) I liked the nicknames you can give your players too. I really like being able to make your own team with its original uniforms and name,and you can buy improved equipment and enhance your players abilities as they gain experience.....the game is easy to get the hang of and lots of fun on all levels....its easy at first but gets REALLY hard as you go on...so it kinda eases you into wanting to play more to improve your team and take on harder and harder challenges. I just rented this game from blockbuster video but I would like to buy it....I didnt want to bring it back hehe I only played with one player but I could see this game being GREAT at parties hehe. It even has good music from contemporary bands, makes me feel like im going to the hockey game.....all in all one of the better games for the PS2 ive played so far, I think computer games may eventually replace movies for entertainment because you dont have to just passivly just sit there and zone out and drool in front of the screen....you actually affect the outcome of whats going on in front of you...but you know that already hehe
