So, we know that Isaac is back. He’s back on board the Ishimura, ready to face another day of nightmares.
Visceral and EA have released a teaser trailer, titled “Dementia,” to bring you up to speed. (It’s embedded below.)
Not only that, but http://www.deadspacegame.com/ has been uploaded with “shiploads” (their pun, not mine for a change) of new content about what’s gone down since the massacre aboard the ship, including a memorial as well as wallpapers and an audio log.
Have you ever seen one of those obnoxious little technicolor Teletubbies bastards on your television screen and had the distinct desire to smoke them in the face with a shotgun? Well apparently you are not the only one, because a recent community mod to Left 4 Dead allows you to put the PBS staple ‘on blast.’ After watching the video I would even argue that a zombie ‘Tinky-Winky” may be scarier than the actual zombies. Check the video for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments below.
The Halo: Reach beta is set to start next Monday, but you’re not going to have access to all the gametypes right from the get-go — they will be given to you throughout the beta. Here’s the run down on when you’ll have access to what.
May 3rd
4vs4 Ranked Team Slayer
Free for All
Grab bag
May 7th
Invasion
May 14th
Generator Defense
Don’t forget that you’ll need Xbox Live Gold, Halo 3:ODST, or a special invite to get into the Halo: Reach beta. If you don’t have gold, you’ll still have a chance to participate — from May 14th – May 17th silver users will be able to play the Halo: Reach beta, Halo 3, and Halo 3: ODST for free!
The beta is set to end on May 19th. This gives users exactly 16 days with the beta. Don’t worry though, you’ll be able to remember it with your Halo: Reach avatar hoodie. That’s right, you get one for free after you play a full game in the beta.
I look forward to seeing everyone in the beta — it should be a good time.
While The Bearded One is no longer on the Fallen Earth team, it appears that the new team in charge of continuing to make the post-apocalyptic wastes awesome are wasting no time in getting in touch with their players. How so, you wonder? Well, it appears that they are planning a mass-invasion of Twitter on Thursday at 3pm (GMT -4) to tweet it up with the playerbase. (For those who aren’t following them yet, you can catch their official account over at @FallenEarth.)
Anyone interested in following the chat only needs to set up a filter on their favorite Twitter client looking for the hashtag #FEchat, or pop over to Twitter’s search site and search for that hashtag. Of course, it’s not half as much fun if you can’t participate, so the Fallen Earth developers will be soliciting questions from everyone. Sure, the 140-character restriction may make for some short answers, but there’s something to be said for being able to tune in to a dev chat via text message or mobile Twitter client.
